ShareThis Inc. founder Tim Schigel said Tuesday that Kurt Abrahamson will be the company 's new CEO, effective immediately.
Schigel is expected to remain chairman of the board.
Before his appointment at the Palo Alto-based Web advertising company, Abrahamson was the CEO of online display advertiser SocialMedia.com, before it was acquired by LivingSocial.
Abrahamson also previously served as the director of content media group for Mountain View-based Google Inc. Google Inc.
